Volunteers who speak a second language to visit elderly in the Ipswich area

MiCare Ltd

Logo for MiCare Ltd

MiCare is looking for volunteers that can share a smile and companionship during bi-weekly friendly visits to isolated and lonely elderly people in the Ipswich area.

We are looking for volunteers from diverse back grounds.

Visits may be spent talking or sharing in a simple leisure activity together. Your regular visits can make a real and positive difference in the life of these residents.

We ask volunteers to commit to fortnightly visits for at least 6 months, however this is an ongoing role and we hope to support your friendship for as long as possible.

Volunteers receive training, orientation, ongoing support, travel reimbursement and invitations to meetings together with other visiting volunteers.

This program is part of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) - an Australian Government initiative.

To find out more please 'apply' below and we will contact you.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
