Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme is federally funded government program under which, compassionate, caring and friendly volunteers can make a difference by visiting and providing social support to elderly residents in an aged care facilities or in the community. This requirement is for Wahroonga LGA.

The visits can bring some joy and pleasure in the life of our elderly friends. A commitment of at least 1 hour a fortnight is needed on an ongoing basis so a rapport and trust can be developed between the volunteer and the resident.

Individuals with Hindi/Punjabi language skills, who are willing to give some time, 'are reliable, patient and compassionate, and have a positive attitude for life are encouraged to apply.
