The Driving Volunteer plays a crucial role in empowering young people, by helping them navigate the process of obtaining their license. Flexible volunteer hours to fit your schedule from as little as one hour per month. Weekdays, nights and weekends all available.

As a driving mentor, you will sit as passenger during driving sessions, offering guidance, feedback and encouragement to young individuals who may lack the necessary support system to achieve this important milestone. All young drivers receive a minimum of 5 hours of professional lessons with driving schools before sitting in with a volunteer.

Volunteers can choose to be matched with just one regular participant, or support multiple participants, the choice is yours.

All Volunteers will use our modern vehicles that ensure the safety of all members. Our vehicles are all equipped with video cameras as additional safety measures. The vehicles can be collected from our Gosford location, or brought to you.

To be accepted as a volunteer you will need to:

• Complete a registration form
• Have a current Working With Children's Check
• Provide 100 points of ID
• Clear a Driving Offence Check

Any suitable volunteers are also offered an optional Driver Safety Training Course at no charge.
