This is a voluntary role. It is for around 0.5 to one day per week and the days and time are flexible.
Purpose of the Role
It reports to the President of Ku-ring-gai Rotary and supports the President and Board by planning the Calendar of Activities and organizing the activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop a proposal for Ku-ring-gai Rotary’s Calendar of Activities, including the identification of possible guest speakers and a range of social activities such as restaurant dinners, theatre nights, six months in advance in consultation with the President.
- Attend Board meetings if required as a non-voting member to discuss social activities.
- Once the Calendar is approved, book guest speakers and venues as required.
- Prepare and issue correspondence to members about the forward calendar.
- Liaise with the Koongga Compiler to remind members about the upcoming guest speakers and events.
- Liaise with guest speakers prior to their attendance at a meeting to determine and organise any requirements they may have, request a short bio for their introduction and invite them to stay for dinner.
- Organise a member to introduce and to thank guest speakers.
