Back2Bikes is a not-for-profit based in Port Melbourne, Victoria. Our passionate team rescues bikes destined for the landfill. We refurbish them and deliver quality, life-changing transportation to refugees, mental health sufferers, homeless, victims of domestic violence, and those recovering from substance use disorders.
We're on a mission to engage with our community, government representatives and volunteers more. Social media will play a big role in achieving this.

Here’s a snapshot of what the role typically entails and the skills required:
Role Overview: The Social Media and Content Coordinator is responsible for creating and curating content that resonates with our target audience, managing social media channels, and analysing performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop engaging content including text, image, and video content for social media channels.
- Community Engagement: Monitor, respond to, and initiate conversations with the community across platforms.
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with our PR Manager and Board to develop effective social media strategies aligned with our PR strategy.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Have a great attitude, be curious and creative.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and social media management tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.).
- Strong copywriting and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
