Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary Volunteers
The Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is open to the public 7 days a week and offers a comprehensive daily activity schedule including Keeper talks and wildlife presentations including Free Flight Birds. The park also offers interactive wildlife experiences that give you an up-close and personal experience with native animals. The Sanctuary also has a café, a unique retail store, with a focus on locally produced and sustainable gifts alongside a large fine-foods department and hot-nut bar.
Our team works alongside our partners to increase awareness and preservation of threatened and endangered species, with the primary objective to rescue, rehabilitate and release.
Our aim is to bring awareness to the importance of respecting our natural world alongside the community, by creating experiences that enable visitors to leave feeling fulfilled and having a newfound enjoyment of what Australia’s natural flora and fauna have to offer.
“Our vision is to develop the Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary into a world class bio park with a focus on Australian Wildlife through conservation, education, indigenous engagement and ecotourism initiatives”.
We are excited to establish a volunteer program at the Sanctuary.
The Sanctuary Volunteer will assist with the daily care and welfare of the animals at the wildlife sanctuary. This role is crucial for ensuring that the animals receive the highest standard of care and support, contributing to their health and well-being.
