Main Duties of the Treasurer: ·                     Receive invoices, pay accounts and record transactions ·                     Bank money received and record transactions ·                     Issue and file invoices and receipts ·                     Prepare Income & Expenses Reports and Transaction Lists: o   Quarterly for the Ordinary Meeting o   Annually for the Annual General Meeting · Seek approval for unbudgeted expenditure · Keep an overview of the finances of the organisation · Ensure appropriate financial policies and procedures are in place and review as required · Conduct bank reconciliations with each statement to ensure all transactions are entered · Receive quarterly bank statement and correlate with Transaction List · Prepare accounts for auditing o   Submit audited accounts to Executive Committee for approval; and retain copies for AGM reporting; and annual reporting to Office of Fair Trading (Qld) and Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC)

  Desirable Attributes · Good organisational skills · Financial experience · The ability to maintain accurate records · Good computer skills (word, excel and email) · Good verbal and written communication skills
