The Organisation: HANZA is the peak body for Homeshare in Australia and New Zealand. Homeshare brings people together in supported shared living arrangements that deliver viable, affordable and sustainable housing options and contribute to community wellbeing.

HANZA is a group of committed people volunteering to promote the establishment of Homeshare programs. It provides expert advice, support and capacity-building to organisations operating or aspiring to operate Homeshare programs and advocates to communities, governments and organisations to have Homeshare accepted as a housing model within the aged care, disability and homelessness sectors.

The volunteer will assist with: We would love to have another person join us as a Social Media volunteer to assist us to build awareness and understanding by governments, organisations and the community of the concepts and benefits of Homeshare.

Collaborating with our team, the role will include promotion of Homeshare and HANZA on social media platforms and contributing to HANZA’s Marketing and Communications Strategy as outlined below.

Tasks: Contribute to the development of a social media strategy to support the increased awareness of the benefits of Homeshare among our stakeholders and in the community.

Collaborate to develop and implement a strategy to increase HANZA’s presence and engagement with stakeholders on social media platforms (Facebook and Linkedin).

Assist HANZA to promote Homeshare evidence and information to support advocacy, increased Member and stakeholder engagement and the diversification of funding sources.

What you could bring to us: Qualifications or experience in Marketing, Digital Media or a related field. Proficiency in the use of social media platforms. Knowledge and interest in developing, and evaluating an outcomes-focused social media campaign.

Meetings are conducted online as our team members are located around the country so it doesn’t matter where you live. Our organisation is run almost exclusively by volunteers, many of whom hold concurrent full-time jobs. Consequently, we are understanding of competing priorities and very flexible regarding time commitment.
