Management Committee members

Crossroads Community Care Centre Inc.

The management committee members meet approximately once a month at 11.00am for a Committee meeting, plus a further few hours to keep up with developments. The President is required to chair meetings, with the Vice-President providing back-up if the President is unable to chair. More time is available if you would also like to be more involved in the Centre’s day to day activities. Crossroads Community Care Centre strives to be an integral part of the local community, working within the principles of community development and social justice, providing a welcoming environment that is inclusive and accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. To fulfil our governance obligations as a neighbourhood centre, community housing provider and registered charity, we strive to make our committee inclusive and as representative of our diverse community as possible. In accepting the position, Management Committee members undertake to provide sound governance and effective leadership to the organisation by ensuring that the organisation has clear strategic directions and achievable plans in line with its purpose and values. Requirements You will need to become a financial member of Crossroads Community Care Centre Inc. to sit on the Management Committee – this is inexpensive and easy to do. Experience in one or more of the following areas will be an advantage – interest in serving and helping in a community organisation, community development, social media, financial management, strategic planning, risk management, legal requirements, information management and technology, quality assurance, marketing, human resources, asset and facility management, grant writing, or fundraising. Experience with Microsoft Teams would also be an advantage. You will need access to email and electronic systems that allow you to communicate in between meetings and participate in on-line meetings when required. Your personal qualities include integrity, credibility, and a passion for the local community.
