300 Blankets is a not for profit, volunteer-run charity, dedicated to supporting people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Victoria.
We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager who can help us raise much-needed funds to support the fast-growing number of people in need in our community.
Position Purpose:
300 Blankets is seeking an experienced fundraising manager with excellent networking abilities who will be responsible for building enduring relationships with current and prospective donors / partners across multiple sectors.
The fulfilment of this role will increase the regular (and irregular) financial income of 300 Blankets to ensure it can:
- Continue to operate its 2x service programs;
- Maintain its financial reserves;
- Increase its available funds to support increasing program costs; and
- Identify alternative and accessible funding streams (currently includes grants, public financial donations and community goods donations).
What you’ll do:
- Drive the management of our end-to-end supporter experience for financial and in-kind donors.
- Research, identify and cultivate new, innovative partnership opportunities and build a strong pipeline of future prospects to secure financial and in-kind support.
- Devise any promotional and fundraising campaigns, in close collaboration with the Marketing Director.
- Maintain the record of ongoing partnerships/donors.
- Build and deliver a strong partnership portfolio plan for 300 Blankets
- Develop with the management team, fundraising targets and monitor, including proposing recommendations regarding the focus of program delivery.
- Increase our engagement with corporate partners, workplace givers and prospects.
- Work collaboratively and cohesively with the Grant Writing Team.
- Write funding proposals and submit these to potential donors.
- Maintain strong connections to the external market and fundraising community to ensure we maintain best practice, contemporary approaches
Commitment:
Minimum 6 months. 3-4 hours per week

Skills/attributes:

- The ability to engage with a range of stakeholders to support organisational objectives.
- Prior Fundraising experience
- Sound knowledge of the charity sector.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to develop and maintain relationships with people from all levels of business and community.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
