Volunteer Treasurer / Board Member Needed for the Australian Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Practitioners (AMAPP)

Are you passionate about advancing the field of psychedelic therapy and facilitation in Australia? Do you have experience with finances / non-profit management and a desire to contribute to the growth and development of an important professional association? If so, the Australian Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Practitioners (AMAPP) invites you to join our board as a voluntary board member in the role of Treasurer.

About AMAPP:

AMAPP is a leading professional association dedicated to promoting safe, effective, and ethical practices in psychedelic therapy and facilitation. We provide accreditation and support to therapists, facilitators, and supervisors working with psychedelic-assisted therapies across various disciplines.

Role Duties:

As a voluntary board member, your primary responsibilities will include:

Financial record-keeping: Manage and oversee AMAPP’s financial transactions and records in line with relevant legislation and regulations.

Budgets: Develop and maintain annual budgets in collaboration with the board. Prepare related reports for board meetings and stakeholders.

Financial Strategy: Monitor cash flow and financial health, providing recommendations for improvement and future growth.

Funding Streams: Oversee AMAPP’s alternative funding streams, including fundraising and grant applications.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure AMAPP maintains its’ regulatory compliance with the ACNC, state fundraising bodies, ATO, ASIC and any other entities as required.

Board meetings: Attend monthly board meetings with other AMAPP board members. Discuss organisational matters, make strategic decisions, and contribute to the overall direction of the association.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to the mission and values of AMAPP.
  • Experience in finance, accounting, or related field with non-profit experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with psychedelic therapy and facilitation is desirable but not essential.
