Kempsey Museum is a highly regarded local history Museum located in a purpose built, architect designed building in South Kempsey Park. The Museum is operated by the Macleay River Historical Society, which also carries out research, publishing history and photography sales. As well as front desk duties, the successful applicant would be required to perform routine book and merchandise sales, take details for more complex enquiries for referral to the Society’s researchers and provide basic information about the Museum and its exhibits. They will report to the Duty Roster Manager.

Kempsey Museum is accredited with Museums & Galleries Australia, and provides a comfortable workplace with an attractive and welcoming atmosphere for volunteers. A Reward and Recognition Programme is in place.
