The Creative Operations Lead is responsible for promoting the overall experience of GovHack, in support of the participants, the sponsors and the volunteers. This includes ensuring there is a clear plan of engagement that is fresh and uplifting. The individual will preferably, but not necessarily, be well versed in GovHack with some prior experience in the hackathon as a volunteer, sponsor and/or participant.

Communication and Marketing: – Work with the Marketing team and contribute to the development of marketing materials and promotional campaigns that cover all GovHack events. – Coordinate with the Media team to ensure consistent messaging across various channels. – Assist Marketing team and Operations Support to maintain website content and engagement – Work across these teams to create an engagement plan that covers key milestones, other industry and social or related key marketing

Volunteer Management: – Assist the Operations Support role in defining volunteer roles – Assist with recruitment, training, and management of all volunteers to support all teams.

Sponsorship and Partner Engagement – Collaborate with the fundraising team to identify and engage potential sponsors and partners. – Where required, assist with managing key relationships with sponsors and partners to ensure their expectations are met and deliverables are fulfilled. – Support the Sponsorship team when required, with new initiatives and key requests from sponsors, to ensure overall alignment with GovHack objectives

Budget Oversight: – Work closely with the finance team to develop and manage the overall national budget. – Monitor national expenses and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising the quality of the event.

On-site Coordination: – Oversee on-site engagement during the hackathon, addressing any issues or challenges that may arise. – Ensure a positive experience for participants, volunteers, and sponsors throughout the event. – Work with and support the other Co-Operations Leads to ensure overall smooth operations for GovHack
