1. What is the Pink Cross Foundation Australia?

Pink Cross is a not-for-profit founded by a survivor with lived experiences of the s3x industry. Pink Cross’ purpose is to offer therapeutic support for those involved in the s3x industry, including users of the industry. Pink Cross offers evidence-based, mental health services, activism initiatives and education. In all our activities, we are promoting safe, healthy and respectful human relationships devoid of coercive control and any forms of human rights abuse. 2. About the role:

We are looking for sustainability-minded, sales-driven, visually creative team members to be appointed to the role, complement each other, and work together.

Bring your previous customer-focused experience & passion to support our cause by learning with us how to develop our sales operations. Take part in the growth and success of our newborn Pink Cross Shop initiative!

You can commit between 4 to 10 hrs per week, and attend our Elsternwick, Victoria, Pink Cross Warehouse from the hours of 8.30 am, and 5 pm any weekdays and/or Saturdays. Sunday commitments are required when merchandise is ready and Markets have been booked.

Days and times are variable, and to be discussed based on your Manager’s schedule, customer demands, deadlines, and your capacity to serve, in this exclusive and rewarding frontline role. Think Salvos for women’s cause! In this fast-paced role, you will be attending Sunday Markets (or other promotional events, on other days), preparing the stalls, and organising merchandise at the Pink Cross Workshop near Elsternwick, Victoria. Please only apply if you can travel to us by car or public transport.

3. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role’s duties include but are not limited to:

  • Using your artistic skills — great handwriting, crafting dexterity and sustainability-minded attitude — assist in the coordination of visual merchandising and presentation;
  • Sort, group, label, wrap, and price merchandise to store in van and be ready by 4 pm on Sat nights towards attending local markets on Sundays;
  • Create products with our Brand using received bulk merchandise such as barreled shampoo. Source recycled glass/plastic jars, measure, and beautify the goods with your extraordinary eye for visual merchandising;
  • Search for, enquire about, book, and prepare attendance (with your own Pink Cross email & signature) at other in-person events: conferences, exhibition stalls, outdoor public events;
  • Use cash and the Square POS machine, iPads, or your phone to process sales;
  • Look for and list other low-cost retail opportunities to attend on other days;
  • Photograph, upload to a shared drive, and post online our finished products on low-cost retail portals, including our website;
  • Keep a list of those portals and search for opportunities to promote our products through networks;
  • Follow up on sales requests, attend the warehouse to pick up goods, and drive or tram to AusPost to ship the goods;
  • You have an exceptional in-house, and public ability to communicate positively with all stakeholders, including liaising via videoconference for meetings;
  • You can provide exceptional Customer Service with your bright and dynamic personality, with taking great pride in your amazing contributions;
  • Reach financial goals by looking for new products (companies to donate) and sales opportunities for us!

3. The ideal candidate must have:

  • A passion for Pink Cross’ mission
  • Strong time management, resourcefulness, and organisation
  • Detail-oriented and tech-savvy
  • Be solution and initiative driven
  • Be creative and sustainability-minded
  • Be physically able to lift and carry up to 20kg
  • Desirable: previous retail or administrative experience
