Cycling Without Age Perth operates under the guidance and strategic direction of Cycling Without Age Australia.  The Perth Chapter are responsible for:

  • Operating rides in the Perth metropolitan area
  • Managing trishaws and vehicles
  • Providing local governance
  • Providing financial reporting to CWAA
  • Providing statistical reporting to CWAA
  • Fundraising for the Chapter

Responsibilities of Program Coordinator

This role can be done on an ad-hoc basis for up to 20 hours per week. The majority of tasks can be done from home, however there are occasions when you will be required to meet with the executive committee and attend events / functions / presentations as needed.  Tasks include:

  • Act as point of contact for enquiries via our main email address
  • Write monthly Program Coordinator report to present at monthly subcommittee meetings
  • Attend monthly subcommittee meetings
  • Volunteer Management (using the Better Impact system):
    • Create shifts
    • Approve volunteer hours with cross referencing to Ride Statistics completion
    • Create quarterly / bi-annual Volunteer Thank You events
    • Research and nominate volunteers for awards and other recognitions
  • Ride Management:
    • Ensure we have volunteer capacity to deliver on our program commitments / shifts
    • Update our Commitments Register with information pertaining to grants / sponsorships and tri-a-trishaws to ensure we deliver on all commitments on time
    • Ensure that the Community Rides flyer is updated both electronically and in hard copy at ride locations
    • Working alongside Captain and Trainers when implementing new ride locations / hubs to ensure all necessary tasks are documented and completed
  • Oversight of bespoke programs, such as:
    • Ride 4 a Reason program with Dept of Justice / Boronia
    • Wellness in Nature programs with Dept of Health
  • Quarterly Newsletters:
    • Collate stories for, write and send out the quarterly Newsletters which go out to passengers, sponsors, supporters and volunteers
    • Ensure this is updated on website and facebook
  • Social Impact Measurement:
    • Send out post-ride passenger surveys, collate surveys and analyse results to write an annual Social Impact Report

Essential Criteria

  • Strong administrative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, but also independently
  • Police Clearance

  • Wordpress (desirable)
