We are building a pool of volunteers who are interested in being involved in assisting with arts and crafts groups (painting, knitting etc) and/or accompanying bus outings with clients who are over 65yrs of age. The volunteer role for the arts & crafts groups will include assisting staff with setup and signing in, chatting to the attending clients, joining in the activities to build momentum and interest. There may be opportunities for you to share/demonstrate your own skills within the class group. If you’re interested in accompanying the group on bus outings, your role as a volunteer would be as an “extra pair of hands and eyes” to assist staff with the client group. Bus outings go to a variety of locations including picnics at scenic locations, visits to events at local clubs etc.
