Social Media Coordinator - volunteer from home

Coalition for the Protection of Greyhounds

The Coalition for the Protection of Greyhounds is a dedicated group of volunteers across Australia and overseas committed to ending greyhound suffering. If the following is of interest, we would love to hear from you. Supported by our graphic design team, you’ll have the freedom to use your creativity and initiative to help us grow and leverage our Instagram and Facebook presence in a collaborative environment. This role is ideal for a social media/marketing student or recent graduate, or someone who meets the essential criteria below. Please keep reading if: you have some knowledge or awareness of the issues involved in greyhound racing, you’re passionate about animal welfare, you love social media, and you’re able to commit to a minimum of 3-5 hours per week on an ongoing basis

  • we will prioritise applicants who can commit to at least six months due to the resources involved in onboarding new people. Essential skills, knowledge and experience
  • Plan required weekly social media content (including captions) from our research, news, blog, and liaise with design team for meme/reel creation
  • Schedule posts and stories using our social media scheduler Later
  • Contribute to our engagement strategy (like and reply to comments, respond to DMs, engage with our followers and partners). Desirable skills, knowledge and experience
  • Contribute to our social media strategy through ideas and knowledge.
  • Report on metrics to share significant data with the team and plan future content.
  • Create a hashtag strategy that is based on recent recommendations.
  • Be across the latest updates and trends.
