BinderKeepers Inc is community orientated and provides members books covering from baby to senior ages for borrowing. Our community library has a huge collection of books written by Australians and books referencing Australia. Special reference sections in Military, Transport (focusing on Aviation History, Gardening, Art and Self Help. Every item on display has been donated by members of the local and surrounding communities.

A weekly weekend Books, Toys, Jigsaw Puzzles and Games for Sale is held at the RSL Samford car park, 4 Progress Avenue, Samford Village 4520 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, as the main library collection of books is in storage while the Library Groups finalises a site to operate from.

At the same time funds are progressively accumulating for an eco-friendly community building to act as a venue for the Community Library, stage for Theatre & live Music and Art. Volunteers assist in marketing surplus books for sale online and establish a greater reach for more substantial funding opportunities.

Helpers for Book Sales are required to help with Setting up (some duties may be completed by other volunteers, depending on hours volunteered)

• Two marquees are set up with assistance
• Banners are set up with assistance
• Folding tables are set up and some have tablecloths with assistance
• Taking boxes of books (approx. 5 to 10 kg), jigsaws and games from a trailer and place onto tables as directed
• Tidying items on tables throughout an event day
• Assisting visitors with queries
• Packing up marquees, banners, tables, repacking boxes onto trailer.

Extra volunteers allow other volunteers to take rest breaks.as/if needed.
