Since 2005, Cambodian Kids Can has been giving at risk girls the chance to change their futures through education. Women who have access to and receive an education are more likely to lead healthier and productive lives, benefiting themselves, their families, their communities and the broader economy on multiple levels. Supporting equitable access to education is at the core of what we do at Cambodian Kids Can (CKC).

We’re seeking an experienced volunteer event lead for our Gala Dinner fundraiser to be held in October 2024.

The Gala Dinner is a key event on CKC's 2023 fundraising calendar that helps us deliver on this promise. If the words “plan, coordinate and deliver” get you motivated, then this opportunity is your chance to shine!

Working with senior Board members and partnering with our communications specialists, you will be responsible for getting this fun yet purposeful show on the road. A unique opportunity to contribute your event coordination expertise to a worthy cause in a hands-on way, you’ll help plan the event, liaise with our central CBD venue, manage ticket sales, originate corporate sponsorships, prep our MC and auctioneer, organise various fundraising activities for the night (raffle, live auction, silent auction), champion promotional activities, manage the attendee list and help run the event on the night.

This project will suit an experienced event coordinator or someone who has recently completed a Diploma in Event Management. The project will start immediately and will require a small commitment of hours per week, along with attendance on the night.
