Auburn Asian Welfare Centre Inc. (AAWC) is looking for a volunteer for the public speaking class (3-4 students in a group).

You are required to:

  • Teach public speaking skills to identified primary and high school students to help build their confidence.

  • Motivate students in engaging learning activities.

  • Be familiar with using online platforms, e.g. Google Meet, Zoom, MS Teams, etc.

  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed.

  • Comply with AAWC's policies and procedures, including confidentiality.

  • Take reasonable care of the health and safety within the group.

Other requirements:

  • National Police Certificate

  • Working with Children Check

A Volunteer Appreciation Event will be held annually where awards will be given to recognise volunteers’ great contributions to AAWC and the community.

Options for the recognition of volunteers’ contributions may include: Volunteer Certificate Verbal or written reference Activities to be held during “International Volunteer Day” in December or at the end of each year (depending on the situation) Morning/afternoon tea or light refreshment catering at usual meetings Token of appreciation
