Key responsibilities:

Event Planning and Execution:

  • Coordinate all aspects of charity events, including logistics, scheduling and participant engagement.
  • Work closely with the board and fellow volunteers to ensure smooth execution and adherence to financial or time constraints.
  • Oversee event setup and coordination of vendors.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide guidance and support to event volunteers, delegating tasks and ensuring clear communication.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, motivating volunteers to achieve event objectives.
  • Conduct post-event debrief sessions to assess success and build plans for future improvement.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks associated with event planning and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Prepare contingency plans for unforeseen circumstances, ensuring events proceed smoothly despite challenges.
  • Monitor event activities to address any issues as they arise.

Commitment

The workload is expected to take anywhere between 1 and 10 hours of work per week, depending on seasonal demand. Outside of event-specific timelines, these hours are flexible to suit your operations.
