Tutoring Opportunities with Ethical Education
Ethical EducationWe are looking for passionate and reliable volunteer tutors and mentors to join our teaching team for Term 2 in May 2024. You will work with high school students, in a one-on-one capacity in weekly lessons throughout a 10-week term, this may involve:
- Teaching a particular syllabus
- Providing assistance on a particular assignment
- Mentoring a student on their education journey.
Our ideal candidate has, or currently is, attending university to complete at least a Bachelor’s degree.
Tutor Duties and Responsibilities
- Help instil confidence in students by helping them realise their strengths.
- Inspire students to dream big and provide career mentoring.
- Teach to inspire passion and enjoyment of subject(s).
- Teach effective study skills and time management techniques.
- Share tips and strategies for effective time management and goal setting.
Tutor Requirements and Qualifications
- University students completing a Bachelors degree or holding tertiary qualifications.
- Holding a valid Working with Children's Check (WWCC) (which is free for volunteers and can be applied for post-application).
- Have access to a computer with high-speed internet, a headset and a microphone.
- Are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and dedicated in making education accessible to those who need it the most.
