ABOUT US

Enable is an award-winning, mid-sized charity and not-for-profit Social Enterprise. We’re located in the Hume City local government area (LGA), where many suburbs are ranked as some of Australia’s highest in socio-economic disadvantaged. Our mission is to tackle disadvantage and the digital divide by connecting community, environment, and local economies.

Since 2015, Enable have hosted over 1,653 participants to access Employability skills and created 38 employment pathway outcomes for primarily for young people with disability as well as migrants experiencing barriers to employment. Enable trade commercially in the stable/growing sectors of computer repair, refurbishing, commercial grade data sanitisation and accredited e-waste recycling, processing 397 tonnes of decommissioned tech for reuse/recycling to date.

In addition, Enable has recently established a robust Online retailing platform. The primary purpose of this platform is to tackle digital and social exclusion by providing access to Affordable Tech for those in need. We do this by offering A-Grade, refurbished affordable tech with a range of additional social impact discounts to concession card holders. We also donate devices to other programs to support local communities whilst furthering our Circular Tech efforts.

Given the online platform, intheclick, is established, we are now ready for growth and our goal is to reach and engage those in need, Australia-wide, to help disadvantaged communities stay connected with affordable, quality refurbished devices.
