Communities Council On Ethnic Issues is looking for an Events Coordinator. (A remuneration will be paid on contract).

The event will be held in Monash City Council Area VIC 3148 on Saturday 22 June 2024

Key Responsibilities:

1. Event Planning and Management:
   • Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets.
   • Coordinate logistics such as venue booking, equipment rental, catering, and transportation.
   • Liaise with speakers, panellists, and performers to confirm participation and coordinate requirements.
2. Program Development:
   • Curate diverse and engaging event programs aligned with Refugee Week's objectives.
   • Collaborate with the content team to identify relevant topics and participants.
   • Draft event agendas and scripts.
   • Manage hire of food stalls by communities
3. Communication and Promotion:
   • Develop promotional materials in collaboration with the CCOEI team.
   • Coordinate with media outlets and influencers for event coverage.
   • Manage RSVPs and attendee communication.
4. Technical Coordination:
   • Ensure AV equipment, PA systems, and musical instruments are available and set up correctly.
   • Conduct site visits to assess venue suitability.
5. Volunteer and Staff Management:
   • Recruit, train, and manage event volunteers from communities
   • Provide support and guidance to event staff.
6. On-Site Event Management:
   • Oversee event setup and decorations.
   • Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders.
   • Manage event flow and timing.
7. Post-Event Evaluation:
   • Gather feedback from attendees, volunteers, and stakeholders.
   • Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations.
   • Compile event reports.
