We're looking to invite a motivated and engaging person to join our Therapeutic Community and take the lead in keeping the grounds of our Residential facility looking great. Experience with Zero-turn and ride-on mowers, whipper-snippers, blowers, chain saws and other power tools is highly desirable. Every Friday morning we hold a two-hour "Community Working Bee" and include young people who live with us as residents in the work scheduled for the day.
Young people learn and practice new skills beginning with the basics (sweeping, blowing, raking, push-mowing, lopping, weeding, etc) and, in time, progress to using other tools and machines under supervision. The Volunteer Groundsperson is supported by one or two residential support workers. A Community Lunch follows the Working Bee every week.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
