Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance and oversight to ensure LDDSWQL fulfills its mission and objectives effectively.
• Actively participate in monthly board meetings, committee meetings, and organisational events.
• Collaborate with fellow board members, executive leadership, and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.
• Uphold high standards of governance, ethics, and accountability in all board activities.
• Advocate for LDDSWQL's mission and engage with the community to enhance awareness and support for its programs and services.
• Contribute expertise in areas such as finance, fundraising, marketing, legal, or other relevant fields to support organisational growth and sustainability.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated commitment to LDDSWQL's mission, values, and objectives.
• Previous experience serving on a Board of Directors or relevant leadership experience preferred.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to make sound decisions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the not-for-profit sector, community services, or mental health initiatives is desirable.
• Ability to commit to monthly board meetings, committee assignments, and additional organisational activities as needed.
• Integrity, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact in the community.
