Furry Friends Animal Rescue QLD
Logo for Furry Friends Animal Rescue QLD

Furry Friends Animal Rescue QLD (FFARQ) is a not-for-profit organisation that promotes animal welfare by providing temporary foster homes for homeless pets, adopting them to qualified homes and reducing overpopulation through the de-sexing of all animals.

Furry Friends operates remotely, with animals being carefully placed with volunteer Foster Carers until they are adopted rather than operating a traditional shelter model.

We are excited for a skilled and organised IT System Support person to join the team and be responsible for providing training and ongoing support to team members in our IT System, Shelter Manager.

As an IT Support & System Trainer, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with other teams within the organisation whilst upholding and appreciating the values of compassion, care, commitment and community that promotes animal welfare
  • Weekly export backups of CSV files of all animals
  • Monitoring and responding to Facebook group chat requests for changes to application fields or reports and requests for training
  • Committing to attending IT Support Team fortnightly team “virtual” meetings
  • Working with the IT Support Team Leader in developing or updating custom reports for each team
  • Training new team members in the use of Shelter Manager and other relevant processes for their team role
  • Creating and revising reports on Shelter Manager as per user requirements
  • Identifying opportunities for, and implementing, continuous process improvements

The following qualifications and experience are highly sought after:

  • Demonstrable experience in web application support. Application development is not a criteria as it is a fully managed SaaS platform
  • Previous experience in Google Workspace or similar
  • Previous experience in providing support training for new application users and the development of support tools and users (IE, Guides and Videos)
You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
