Social and Geographical Research Officer - Virtual - #210842

The focus will be on taking public available data from multiple sources and establishing key facts that demonstrates areas of strengths and areas of needs within communities.

The person should be comfortable with search, locating, disseminating and synthesising information in a way that is relevant to stakeholders internally and, with guidance, externally. They will need to work across functions within Lifeline, having an open door / information sharing approach to collaboration. Their curiosity is a key driver in establishing questions and finding information that sheds light on those questions.

Key tasks include:

  • The establishment of a workplan that leads to the gathering of information, analysis, development of a product (paper, report or relevant output) and the endorsement of the product.

  • Setting up and managing resources and time in order to complete the requirements of the case study or study related work that has been agreed to be done.

  • Working within Lifeline processes, procedures and direction when conducting work

  • The submission of draft documents for approval by Lifeline
