About us:

Civik is a jobs-focused social enterprise that delivers services in the telecommunications and civil construction industry. Established by White Box Enterprises in partnership with Ventia and NBN, Civik's mission is to provide job opportunities and support to individuals facing employment barriers while creating a self-sustainable and highly skilled workforce in the construction industry.

Civik has been operating as a pilot program in Cairns for the past 10 months. With the pilot now proven successful, plans are in place for expansion down the East Coast and eventually across Australia. The current work in Cairns consists of NBN pit replacement, involving civil construction works on underground assets to upgrade the old and outdated NBN infrastructure to make way for the improved fibre optic network.

About our board:

Civik’s current board consists of three members from the leadership team of White Box Enterprises, Civik’s parent organisation. As Civik aims to broaden its perspectives, expertise and lived experiences, Civik intends to expand its board to include up to seven individuals.
