As we approach the annual Red Shield Appeal, we are reaching out to you, our valued community members, to invite your participation in this noble cause. The Red Shield Appeal is a vital fundraising initiative organized by The Salvation Army to support individuals and families in need across our community. Volunteers lie at the heart of the Red Shield Appeal's success, and we are excited to extend an invitation to you to join us in making a difference. Your time and dedication can help provide essential support to those facing hardship, offering hope and assistance where it is needed most. Through a network of support services and programs across Australia, we assist one person every 17 seconds, and your gift of volunteering this Red Shield Appeal will enable us to provide specialised care to meet specific needs. Together, we can ensure no one is left in need.

We’re looking for volunteers to step out in the local community Minto, McArthur to help us raise vital funds for our services. These funds will allow us to continue transforming the lives of vulnerable people across Australia.

Position:

Community Collections (static collection spots);

Time Commitment & Location:

Where: Minto Shopping Centre Dates: 13th May to 24th May 2024 (No Saturday or Sunday) Timings: 9:30-12,12-3

AND

Where: MacArthur square opposite Commonwealth Bank Dates: 13th May to 26th May 2024 including Saturdays & Sundays Timings: 9-11:30, 11:30-2, 2-4:30, 4:30-7(this timeslot is valid only for Thursdays)

Special considerations:

Age requirement 18+ and wear comfortable/non revealing clothing for Money collection

Role Tasks:

Passionate, friendly, collecting money while sitting at one place, using Eftpos machine when required.
