Events Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator

Palms Australia

The Palms Australia Events Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator will assist with the planning and organisation of our fundraising and solidarity building activities.
Hours are FLEXIBLE, between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. You may also be able to complete some work from home, if this suits you.

Purpose of Activities you will Support

  1. To diversify our current funding portfolio by engaging new donors to support Palms or to sponsor the placement of Palms volunteers in developing countries.
  2. To increase the Palms Australia profile to attract good candidates for international volunteer placement

Key Responsibilities In this role you will work with the Executive Director and other key staff to:

  1. Develop a strategy to
  • engage potential corporate sponsors of Palms whose values align with ours
  • lift the national profile of Palms Australia in order to attract good candidates for our international volunteering mission, and in order to support our ongoing fundraising efforts.
  1. Assist with the implementation of this strategy, including the engagement of corporate partners

Skills, Experience and Attributes

  • significant marketing and fundraising experience which is applicable to an organization with limited financial resources
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent organisational and planning skills, including capacity to prioritise and manage a varied workload
  • ability to work well in a team and unsupervised
  • experience dealing with corporate environments
  • enthusiasm to raise awareness about Palms Australia
