The Nurtured Village Hampers LtdWe exist solely because of the efforts of our amazing volunteers in each village, who donate their time to making home-cooked meals and sourcing supplies for hampers that are delivered to deserving Mums in communities all across Australia.
The Role
The RECRUITMENT Coordinator (Volunteer) for The Nurtured Village Hampers (“the organisation”) is a volunteer position, responsible for providing Recruitment and coordination, advisory and administration support across the People & Culture portfolio.
This includes volunteer recruitment and selection activities, on-boarding new volunteers to the organisation, supporting in the coordination of volunteer training and development activities (as relevant), drafting supporting people documentation as well as providing administration support in the management of volunteers, as required.
The role reports directly to the Founding Director and must uphold and work within the guidelines, policies, mission and values of The Nurtured Village Hampers. volunteer Duties & Responsibilities
Recruitment & Selection (Ideal applicant will have experience with recruitment and candidate selection) Email and telephone communication with interested volunteers
With the assistance of the Founding Director, support volunteer recruitment activities for the organisation, including advertising, short-listing, screening, interviewing and conducting reference/ documentation checks
Develop any recruitment materials as required by the organisation, including job advertisements and position descriptions
Volunteer On-boarding & Training Support
With the assistance of the Founding Director, liaise with new volunteers as they commence with the organisation, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported within the team
Correspond with the various teams within the organisation, ensuring any new volunteers are introduced to respective coordinators and management committee/s
Support the development of on-boarding and induction materials for new volunteers commencing with the organisation
Coordinate and organise training and development to be completed by new volunteers (as required)
Support Volunteer Management Activities
With the assistance of the Founding Director, manage and maintain an accurate list of potential volunteers and new volunteers within the organisation
Ensure volunteer contact information is kept confidential and up-to-date using Microsoft Office 365
Communicate with volunteers regularly via email, and respond to emails in a timely manner
Escalate any volunteer issues (potential, new and existing) directly to the Founding Director
