Wildlife Health Australia (WHA) is seeking a passionate, dynamic and influential Chairperson who can drive a period of exciting growth and change. Now, more than ever, it is crucial to provide coordinated national action to safeguard wildlife health in Australia. This need is becoming greater with changing land use, climate change and societal practices which bring wildlife, livestock and people into closer contact. Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza, COVID-19, 2019-20 Bushfires and 2022 Floods have showcased the importance of wildlife health to Australia’s economy, human health and biodiversity.

About WHA: Wildlife Health Australia is the agreed national, independent, coordinating body for wildlife health in Australia. Its purpose is to provide leadership through strong partnerships for national action on wildlife health to protect and enhance the natural environment, biodiversity, economy and animal and human health.

Role Overview: As Chairperson, you will uphold our mission and promote impactful change. Your role will be pivotal in fostering partnerships, securing funding, and amplifying our advocacy efforts. A Position Description is available on request by contacting admin@wildlifehealthaustralia.com.au
