Our organization, committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of beachgoers, has been a cornerstone in promoting beach safety and community service. With decades of service, we provide comprehensive training, support, and resources to our volunteers, fostering a culture of respect, teamwork, and professionalism in safeguarding our coastlines.

What we are looking for: Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to the values and standards of the organization. Willingness to undertake training and certification in first aid, CPR, and surf rescue techniques (no prior experience required). Benefits of Volunteering with Our Organization:

Gain valuable skills and experience in lifesaving, first aid, and public safety. Become part of a respected and supportive community dedicated to saving lives.

Access to free training and certification programs. Opportunities for personal growth and development. Satisfaction of making a significant contribution to the safety and well-being of your community.

The Impact of the Opportunity: By joining our team, you will directly contribute to reducing the number of beach-related incidents and fatalities. Your role as a surf lifesaver will ensure the safety of beachgoers and educate the community on the importance of beach safety, ultimately fostering a safer and more informed public.

Membership for active (Patrolling) members who complete their required Patrol obligations is free (and for their family members) and have free access to the Club's gym and other equipment. Training courses are run throughout the year and are free to current active members and membership categories.

You do not need to hold a Bronze medallion to be an active Patrolling member. Other qualifications, such as first aid or radio operator, can be gained depending on your ability. These will allow you to join a patrol group, wear the Red and Yellow uniform, and become part of Australia’s most iconic volunteer organisation.

Our volunteer members are dedicated to patrolling the beach during the season from late September until late April on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
