Do you have years of experience working heavy sheet metal and steel sections, and a desire to help complete this massive task? You will join a very happy band of workers in the cool sea breezes of Rozelle Bay. An extensive mechanical workshop includes heavy radial drills, presses, welding machines, power tools of all types, air and electric. On your first day you will get a cheerful welcoming greeting, followed by orientation and safety training and a guided tour of the work sites centring around the many vessels. Site access is by light rail, many buses on the 500-series routes on Anzac Bridge and Victoria Road. Very limited member-only parking across the road. Above all this organisation is a "happy shed" with no cliques or politics, but lots of friendly people ready to help with any queries you have.

Qualifications desired but not necessary. Ideally you can provide demonstrated experience and quality work. Some work will be below waterline, therefore competent solid waterproof welds necessary. Other work is highly structural and needs to be solid as well as visually satisfying. And some overhead welds necessary. This is work for a person showing pride in their finish and the desire to be involved in an important Heritage restoration.
