The Treasurer will be responsible for managing the financial affairs of the toy library, working closely with other board members to oversee budgeting, financial planning, and reporting. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for community service and a strong background in finance or accounting.

Key Duties Include

  • Oversee and manage the organization's financial accounts, including bank reconciliations, financial transactions, and cash flow.

  • Prepare and present financial report at monthly committee meetings

  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation and adherence to financial management policies.

  • Advise the board on financial strategy and fundraising efforts to ensure the long-term sustainability of the toy library.

  • Manage membership fees, donations, and other income sources, as well as oversee the payment of invoices and operational expenses.

This role will require approx 1-2 hours a week as well as attending a monthly online committee meeting for approx 2 hours.
