About the Mobile Community Pantry: It doesn’t take much for the weekly grocery shops to add up and that can put all sorts of pressure on individuals and families experiencing financial stress.

At Anglicare, we understand that choosing between paying rent and feeding your family is an impossible choice. That’s why we provide a range of food at affordable prices through our Mobile Community Pantry at various locations around Sydney.

We’re looking for volunteers who have a passion for coming alongside others, a willingness to serve and who enjoy getting out into the community. Some of the responsibilities include;

• Assisting service delivery of the Mobile Community Pantry

• Meeting, greeting & assisting shoppers

• Cash handling

• Stocking shelves

Skills and experience:

• Desire to help others

• Customer service experience helpful

• Computer skills helpful, but not essential

• Cash handling skills helpful, but not essential

• Can do attitude

Ideally, you would be able to commit to volunteering weekly or fortnightly on a set day/time. An average day would start at the Villawood Warehouse at 8am and conclude at 4:00pm.
