Registered Nurse - Paid Role

Arthritis NSW
Logo for Arthritis NSW

Our camp offers a unique environment for children and young people living with juvenile arthritis, providing them with the chance to connect with peers facing similar challenges, engage in fun activities, forge new friendships, and foster a sense of autonomy over their condition.

As the camp nurse, your collaboration with our team of committed leaders and staff will be crucial in safeguarding the health and welfare of all attendees. Your responsibilities will include administering medication and addressing any medical issues that arise, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for both campers and staff.

Beyond your nursing duties, you'll participate alongside campers and volunteer participants in a variety of stimulating activities, such as abseiling, flying fox, rock climbing, challenge ropes course, and archery. This role offers an excellent chance to broaden your nursing expertise and make a significant difference in the lives of young individuals.

We provide a competitive remuneration package and an opportunity to develop a broad set of skills, including leadership, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. Your experience in these areas will be highly valued at our event.

This camp represents a rare chance to engage with young individuals affected by a unique condition and a community at a disadvantage. If you're keen on creating a positive impact and acquiring experience with a rare condition while working with children, we encourage you to apply to join the Camp Footloose team.
