TAKE THE LEAD SAVING LIVES AND CREATING SAFER COMMUNITIES! NSW SES is looking for an experienced leader to lead emergency management volunteers. This is a fantastic way to give back to your community!

Detailed Description: NSW State Emergency Service (NSW SES) is the lead agency in response to flood, storm and tsunami emergencies. It also provides critical rescue and missing persons search capabilities to other agencies. The organisation is made up almost entirely of volunteers who commit to supporting their community in its time of need.

EOI for Local Commander and Unit Commander roles with NSW SES:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of community first responders.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, emphasizing excellence in community emergency response.
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the local units.
  • Implement and monitor effective strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the local command.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for the team to enhance their knowledge and emergency response skills.
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to unit members.

Local Commander – Moree Plains Shire Council Area

Manage, lead and develop Unit Commanders across the Moree Plains Shire to ensure operational delivery and service support requirements. SES Vehicle provided for role travel requirements.

Unit Commander – Mungindi Unit, Moree Unit & Warialda Unit

Manage and lead a team within your township for varies activities including incident management, operations, training and administration.

Deputy Unit Commander – Mungindi Unit, Warialda Unit, Boggabilla Unit

Assist your Unit Commander in managing and leading the SES team within your community.
