We are searching for dynamic individuals with a strong sense of community and altruism to bolster our team of Program Facilitators and Chef. Flexible morning and afternoon shifts, spanning 4 hours each, are available up to 6 days a week to accommodate your schedule. You'll receive guidance from a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator and comprehensive training prior to commencement.

What Does the Role Entail?

*Assisting in program preparation, including safe food handling practices.

*Providing support to participants throughout the program, including demonstrating food preparation techniques and ensuring safe practices.

*Assisting the Chef with organizing benches and cleaning tasks, including washing equipment during sessions.

*Upholding safe food handling practices and adhering to Workplace Health & Safety guidelines.

*Collaborating with our dynamic team to fulfill our mission of cultivating the next Generation of Generosity.

Who Are We Seeking?

We are looking for individuals who:

*Are passionate about making a positive difference.

*Exhibit a positive, professional, and cooperative attitude towards educators, parents, and the broader community.

*Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with children from diverse backgrounds.

*Have experience working with children and young people.

Essential Requirements:

*Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).

*Safe Food Handling Certificate (We offer online support for a 1-hour course).

*Alignment with our values, including respect and appreciation for individuals experiencing vulnerability, such as refugees, the homeless, and marginalized communities.

Desirable Requirements:

*Have experience volunteering or have lived experiences with vulnerable populations.

*Possess knowledge of Child Safe Principles and training in Child Protection.

*Understand Workplace Health and Safety responsibilities.
