Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visitors is a service that connects volunteers with people who are experiencing loneliness or isolation.

Garry is a man in his 70’s who is living in his residential home. He is entertained by music and watching sports and would enjoy short walks or sitting on the veranda. Garry used to have 2 small dogs and would love to have one visit. We are looking for someone with a dog who would love to chat and connect with him.

Could you give 1 hour a fortnight to make a difference to an older person in your community?

Do you really want to make a meaningful to difference to an individual living in your community? This could be it. You will be supported by the Wesley team and we are able to offer additional training if you would like it.

Our volunteers often say they get as much out of volunteering as they put in and they love the chats that they have with the people they visit. What would it take for you to build a friendship with someone new? We will introduce you and provide ongoing support, we even host celebration events to say thank you for making a difference to this person.
