1. Who is the Racial Justice Centre RJC is a not-for-profit founded by lawyers with lived experiences. RJC’s purpose is to eliminate racism and racial injustice, using the legal system, education and reform. It is fighting for a world where all people can live, thrive and enjoy life without racism. Duties Reporting to the Grants and Fundraising Manager, this role’s duties include, but are not limited to: • Researching and identifying funding opportunities that align with our organisation's mission, values, and strategic goals • Preparing legal briefs for Counsel • Conducting client interviews, taking statements from clients and witnesses, and preparing affidavits • Liaising with legal professionals, including solicitors and barristers

Attributes The ideal candidate must: • Have experience in funding submission development and a proven track record in successfully generating funding • Well-developed understanding of funder motivation and behaviour • Be able to commit to 3 hours per week • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills • Be highly independent and proactive • Have a genuine passion for racial justice and racial equality. 4.
