Training

Volunteers are supported by staff and receive training in WHS, Aged Care Quality Standards and have access to our Employee Assistance Training. Buddy shifts are offered to ensure you feel comfortable in your role and ongoing support is provided through our monthly 10-minute trainers and from staff.

Time required

Our centres operate from 8.30am - 4.00pm. We value the time that you are able to dedicate to your role as volunteer and are grateful for contribution. Please discuss your availability and preferred days when applying for this role.

Reimbursement

Police check is at no cost to volunteer and organised through Pharmacy ID

Requirements

Covid-19 vaccination
National Police Certificate

Position Requirements: - Patience, empathy and a positive attitude. - Ability to communicate effectively with older people. - Reliability and trustworthiness. - Police check clearance and COVID vaccination is required - Our Central Coast centres are Dementia-specific – so an empathy and understanding for people who are living with dementia is essential.
