Events Coordinator (Community & Maternal Mental Health Focus)

We exist solely because of the efforts of our amazing volunteers in each village, who donate their time to making home-cooked meals and sourcing supplies for hampers that are delivered to deserving Mums in communities all across Australia.  

**The Role **

The Events Coordinator for The Nurtured Village Hampers (TNVH) is a volunteer position.

Are you passionate about supporting local mothers and strengthening community connections? Do you have experience in event management and a heart for maternal mental health? We are looking for an Events Coordinator to organise events that bring mums together, foster connection, and support the growth of our local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate small community events such as coffee catch-ups, raffles, and local clothes swaps.
  • Track donations and report to teams and operations managers.
  • Organise larger events for occasions such as Mother’s Day and Perinatal Mental Health Week to raise awareness and engagement.
  • Build relationships with local businesses and secure sponsorships to support community initiatives.
  • Manage and engage with the community via Facebook and other digital platforms.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in event management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • A Facebook account to manage and engage with the community.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Passion for maternal mental health and community development.
