Would you like to make a positive difference in someone's life? Do you have one hour, once a fortnight to extend the hand of friendship? MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). Volunteers may share stories, help with a hobby, interest or activity, enjoy a walk, listen to music or play a board game with an older person in their community. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship. If you are looking for a volunteer role that brings mutual joy and is flexible - this is a role for you. Our volunteer visitors are. empathetic and curious; they find ways to connect and show genuine appreciation for the happiness of others. They play a vital role in the life of an older person through ongoing friendship. Before commencement, visitors are given access to our excellent onboarding program which includes: • An interview with your coordinator • Police check (free) • Two referee checks • Two quality online training modules.
