Want to support and empower girls and young women? We are looking for a Learning and Development Coordinator to match up new trainee volunteers with experienced mentors and support them through the process of becoming a qualified Girl Guides Leader.

This role can be done remotely, but is also an opportunity to connect with a network of amazing women dedicated to empowering and supporting girls. No previous experience with Girl Guides required but this is a great role for a motivated coordinator/administrator who's passionate about helping women learn and empowering girls.

Your key activities and responsibilities will be to:

  • Maintain a simple database of trainee volunteers who want to become qualified Girl Guides Leaders and Managers, mentors who can support trainees, and which mentors are supporting which trainees
  • Be point of contact for local volunteer managers with new volunteers who need a mentor
  • Build and maintain relationships with the mentors to ensure they have the support they need and their workload is manageable
  • Coordinate a quarterly online meeting of mentors and local area volunteer managers to discuss the progress of trainees and how to improve the support provided
  • Coordinate a quarterly online forum for mentors and trainees to provide support to trainees and allow them to progress through the Girl Guides Leader qualifications
  • Update the region manager and local area volunteer managers with progress and issues at quarterly meetings
  • Liaise with a designated member of the state learning and development team on updates to the training process and communicate with mentors, local area managers and trainees
  • Consult with volunteers to identify additional learning and development needs and work with region manager to organise additional workshops with internal and external experts and trainers as needed

You will report to the Region Manager and have the support of an experienced member of the state Learning and Development team who can keep you updated on the current training requirements and upcoming changes.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
