About Us

South West Sydney Women’s Centre (SWSWC) is a dedicated and impactful organisation committed to creating a safe space for women to learn new skills, develop self-confidence and gain access to important information and support.

Today, we support women of all ages and backgrounds to gain skills and strengthen their resilience to thrive through empowerment, connection, and support. We are a not-for-profit organisation, funded by the Department of Communities and Justice, corporate sponsorship and donations.

As we continue to grow and expand our reach, we are seeking passionate and skilled individuals to join our board as Volunteer Board Member. The purpose of the board is to provide strong governance for SWSWC and setting the strategic direction, providing financial oversight and risk management and supporting the delivery of outcomes focused programs and services to women in the South West district.

You will utilise your experience to identify potential grants and funding opportunities and collaborate with the board to prepare compelling grant applications that align with our mission and goals.

Why SWSWC?

  • Networking opportunities within the not-for-profit sector
  • Professional development and hands-on experience to the strategic governance of our organisation

If you are passionate about making a positive impact and have the skills and experience in any of these areas, please send us an expression of interest that briefly describes yourself, your background and the value you would add to our management committee (no more than one page).
