Transport/Bus Assistant Volunteer - Northmead - #207279
Community Wheels IncPositions are available for volunteer transport/bus assistant to help the driver with client transport/shopping trips. This position is suited to someone seeking to help older people engage and connect with their community.
Responsibilities:

Assist the driver with safe and comfortable transport of clients to and from pre-arranged destinations.

Assist clients in and out of the vehicle as required.

Assist clients with their shopping bags, if necessary.
-
Ensure all clients have seatbelts secured during transport.

Comply with the organization’s WHS standards and other policies and procedures.

Commitment to work with frail aged, people with disabilities and their carers.

Empathetic, trustworthy, patient and reliable.

Willing to learn and work as part of a team.
Desirable Skills:

Willing to work weekends on roster basis.

Current first aid certificate is an advantage.

Open to working with people from diverse backgrounds.
