The Naval Historical Society of Australia (NHSA) has developed two very successful history and heritage tours of Garden Island delivered by a team of volunteers. The tours are unique in that they provide insights into the history of naval use of Garden Island on Sydney Harbour.

We need a volunteer to promote and coordinate bookings for these tours. This is done from the Society's office in Garden Island Dockyard where Australia's warships are supported. The ability to work in this environment which includes the Captain Cook Graving Dock is a unique opportunity.

You will be in contact with community organisations seeking to book a tour and subsequently liaising with tour guides and Defence authorities to arrange the actual visit. These tasks are routinely done by phone and e-mail. Attendance at the office is only essential on days where tours are booked. All other aspects of the position can be done remotely.
