OOSH Before - After School and Vacation Care a not for profit community based, before and after school and vacation care service for children aged 5 – 12 years old.

The bus driver role reports to the OOSH Coordinator.

The hours required are Monday to Friday 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm We could negotiate extra hours for the right person to fulfil Centrelink Mutual Obligations

Volunteer Duties; •Before the bus runs, carry out safety checks on OOSH bus by checking petrol, oil, tyres etc. •Drive set route for pick up and drop off bus service to local schools An OOSH childcare educator is always on the bus to care for the children •The drop off point is at OOSH Before and After School Care located in Boronia Street, at the back of St. Agnes School. •Clean the bus and make sure it is ready for the next run. •Other duties involve organising all maintenance filling up with petrol, washing the bus, servicing, replacement of tyres, vehicle registration etc. •Other reasonable duties in connection with presentation & operation of the OOSH bus.

Experience/qualifications required including essential and desired

•A current Drivers Licence •Effective communication skills - ability to liaise with children and childcare educators •Friendly and non-judgmental approach

Desirable: •Knowledge of the Port Macquarie area •Basic work health and safety knowledge or willingness to be trained.
